Peer Mentor Program

The peer mentor programme is an initiative run by the Monash BDI Student Experience Team, pairing first year students with a mentor to help them transition into uni life. The senior students provide much needed guidance by offering advice, answering questions, and helping mentees locate useful resources to succeed in their first year. Most importantly, it creates an opportunity to meet like-minded people at a variety of social activities to ensure everyone feels welcome in the Biomed family.

Mentors selected to be a part of this programme not only gain leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills that are useful for their careers, but they also find a sense of fulfilment in having fostered a supportive relationship with their mentees.

The Monash Biomed Society acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we are located, the people of the Kulin nations, as the original and ongoing owners of this land. We pay our respects to their elders’ past, present and emerging.
